Ian Brooker, Managing Director
Ian joined the business as Managing Director in February 2009 he brings with him 25 years of board level experience at highly successful service-focused companies.
Ian is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a Member of a number of organisations including the British Institute of Management and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
In directing Compass’s operations and helping ensure it achieves its mission and objectives, Ian still tries to find time for his various passions in life – including golf, classic cars and fine wines.

Lydia Burt, Operations Director
Having joined Compass Supply Solutions in August 2001 as Office Manager, Lydia was promoted to the key position of Operations Director in 2008. She is now responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of both the office and warehouse, through activities such as order scheduling, customer care, stock control, despatch, administration and health and safety.
Her time with Compass has coincided with considerable growth for the company including the recruitment of additional personnel within the warehouse, office and transport teams.
Away from work, as a season-ticket holder at Arsenal Football Club, Lydia is a regular visitor to the Emirates Stadium.
David Wood, Commercial Director
David was one of the original co-founders and investors in Compass Supply Solutions in 1996 and has since held a number of roles within the organisation.
Now employed as Commercial Director, he is responsible for spearheading business opportunities in the UK and internationally, involving both new and existing customers. He has specific responsibility for expanding Compass’s duty free and travel retail business and liaises with suppliers to ensure innovative range solutions.
A keen sportsman, David’s career started as a golf professional and also co-founded an online sports equipment business.
Paul Hilder, Finance Director
As a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, Paul has been worked with the business for many years and joined the company in February 2008.
Paul has overall responsibility for accounts, budgeting, payroll and statutory matters at Compass Supply Solutions. His role also extends to contract tendering, IT and human resources.
Outside of work Paul is also a keen Arsenal supporter and treasurer for his local church.
Bernadette Green, Admin Assistant
Bernie is a well-known figure to anyone contacting the company’s head office, as well as processing orders and handling customer enquiries she is also responsible for stock level monitoring of key accounts.
Bernie’s interests include a wide range of art and crafts and also enjoys cycling and walking.
