David Wood, Commercial Director
David was one of the original co-founders and investors in Compass Supply Solutions in 1996 and has since held a number of roles within the organisation.
Now employed as Commercial Director, he is responsible for spearheading business opportunities in the UK and internationally, involving both new and existing customers. He has specific responsibility for expanding Compasss duty free and travel retail business and liaises with suppliers to ensure innovative range solutions.
A keen sportsman, David's career started as a golf professional and also co-founded an online sports equipment business.
Paul Hilder, Finance Director
As a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, Paul has been worked with the business for many years and joined the company in February 2008.
Paul has overall responsibility for accounts, budgeting, payroll and statutory matters at Compass Supply Solutions. His role also extends to contract tendering, IT and human resources.
Outside of work Paul is also a keen Arsenal supporter and treasurer for his local church.
Steve Chapman, Operations Manager
Steve is a warehouse and logistics professional with over 25 year’s experience. A member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and CPC qualified, Steve has worked in a variety of chilled and ambient FMCG warehouse facilities in both Sussex and Hampshire. He was also part of a development team that trained staff for a UK owned business that set up a manufacturing facility in the United States in 2007.
Joining the company in 2011 Steve has overall responsibility for the day to day warehouse and logistical operations of the business. His role also encompasses airport licensing and security matters, recycling initiatives and day to day customer liaison.
Steve’s interests outside of work include gardening, DIY, watching sport; he is also a keen angler. Steve is currently Chairman of Petersfield and District Angling Club.
