Ian Brooker, Managing Director

When Ian Brooker joined Compass Supply Solutions Ltd as Managing Director in February 2009 he brought with him 25 years of boardroom-level experience at highly successful service-focused companies. His background has included a succession of posts as Managing Director and Non-Executive Director.

Ian is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a Member of a number of highly influential organisations including the British Institute of Management and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

In directing Compass’s operations and helping ensure it achieves its mission and objectives, Ian still tries to find time for his various passions in life – including golf, classic cars and fine wines.

   
  David Wood, Commercial Director

David was one of the original co-founders and investors in Compass Supply Solutions in 1996 and has since tackled a number of high-profile roles within the organisation, including 11 years as Sales and Purchasing Director.

Now employed as Commercial Director, he is responsible for spearheading business opportunities in the UK and internationally, involving both new and existing customers. He takes particular responsibility for expanding Compass’s duty free and travel retail business – an area in which he has amassed considerable experience and expertise.

A keen sportsman, David’s career started as a golf professional at a number of top courses including world-famous Goodwood while he was also co-founder of an online sports equipment business.

   
  Lydia Burt, Operations Director

Having joined Compass Supply Solutions in August 2001 as Office Manager, Lydia Burt has moved up to hold the key position of Operations Director. She is now responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of both the office and warehouse, through activities such as purchasing, sales, customer care relations, stock control, despatch, administration and pass applications.

Her time with Compass has coincided with considerable growth for the company including the recruitment of additional personnel across its varied operations, including in its office and warehouse, and within its transport team.

Away from work, Lydia is a regular visitor to London’s Emirates Stadium – as a season-ticket holder at Arsenal Football Club!

   
  Paul Hilder, Finance Director

Finance Director Paul Hilder takes overall responsibility for all accounts, budgeting and payroll matters at Compass Supply Solutions. His role also extends to contract tendering, IT and human resources.

As a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser – and a member of the Federation of Small Businesses – Paul has been offering his considerable expertise to Compass since joining the company in February 2008.

  Bernadette Green, Administrator

As one of the front-line team at Compass Supply Solutions, Administrator Bernadette Green is a well-known figure to anyone contacting the company’s West Sussex head office.

As well as answering incoming calls and handling queries and enquiries from customers and potential customers, she also handles a range of other responsibilities including filing and processing orders and outgoing post. Bernadette has been with Compass since early 2008.
